VTB Capital hosts annual investor meeting at the World Economic Forum in Davos

Today, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, VTB Capital has hosted a meeting with leading international investors. The event, "Acknowledging differences, capturing opportunities", considered Russia’s prospects for economic development in a changing world.

The meeting was attended by more than 70 representatives of the Russian and international investment community from 21 countries, including delegates from the USA, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

During the discussion, the participants examined a number of key issues for the global economy. Looking ahead to some of the major trends and developments in 2015, the audience analysed the geopolitical consequences of the decline in global oil prices amid US oil production growth, and exchanged views on how to achieve growth and financial stability. Participants also shared their views on the investment prospects for the Russian economy and ways to encourage international economic cooperation further.

The event was moderated by Richard Quest, anchor of CNN’s Quest Means Business.

The level of interest in the meeting, and the topics discussed by the international investment community, once again demonstrate the importance of open dialogue for market participants. Today’s interesting discussion was attended by representatives of the Russian government and corporate leaders, as well as experts and investors from key regions of the world. The participants discussed issues affecting the future development of both Russia and the global economy. VTB Capital has now held this meeting in Davos for four years in a row, showing the importance of the World Economic Forum to the international financial community.
